Features: Campaigns for Health & Wellness

You might be asking yourself, "What does a DJ company have in common with health and wellness?"

Our answer: Plenty!!!

A mobile party DJ company has a lot in common with health and wellness. Think about it.
What's the one activity that we motivate people to do the most? Dance!

Did you know that according to the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association, half of all gyms offer some type of dance-based class including ballroom, zumba, and dance aerobics?

Besides, doesn't anyone planning a milestone event such as a wedding, sweet 16, birthday, etc, want to look their best for that event? We want to help you achieve that goal. This site is our way of contributing information about health and wellness with our audience.

According to About.com, there are four major benefits to dancing:

The greater the range of motion, the more muscles can flex and extend. Flexible muscles means better circulation.

Dancing builds strength by forcing the muscles to resist against a dancer's own body weight.

Dancing increases endurance. Endurance is the ability of muscles to work hard for increasingly longer periods of time without fatigue. Elevating the heart rate can increase stamina.

Sense of Well-Being

Because physical activity reduces stress and tension, dancing gives an overall sense of well-being.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, maintaining high levels of activity for over twenty years was associated with small gains in Body Mass Index.

We all know how some people have a difficult time with staying motivated when it comes to exercise and physical activity. Here are a few tips from those that have been successful:

  • Have a goal
  • Find something you like and keep doing it

With that said, it's no wonder that classes like Zumba and Ballroom Dancing are becoming more and more popular.

Making a Difference

"Do It For Your Daughter" Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Last spring we participated in a breast cancer awareness campaign put together by Girl Scout Troop 1701 of Middletown, New Jersey campaign entitled "Do It For Your Daughter." The goal of the Girl Scouts was to increase the awareness and the importance of mammogram exams. The girls created the following video that aired on various web and social media sites and as a public service announcement on ABC televison stations. So there's a very good chance that you may have already seen it.

Our task was to assist the Girl Scout with their their event, providing a sound system for them to perform their live service announcemnt and music for the duration of the event. Some of the footage can be found in the following video.
